This is what I'm tired of...    I'm tired of supposedly grown-ass people that are supposed to be sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost, sitting on social networking sites and talking about how horrible they think my mother is.  If you don't want her in your life any more, then get her out of your mouth. 

I have no problem with you working through your issues, but sitting there and just making jokes or just bad mouthing her does nothing but piss me off.  Sit down and write the instances that hurt you, and how you're working through it.  Talk about the pain your feeling, and how you're overcoming it.  But I've read what you've had to say, and it speaks of no facts it speaks of no actual occurrences, it just plays on this public persona that our mother created on purpose for her political and business career.  It's tacky, it's childish, and it resolves no issues.  You've got all these reasons why she's fucked up your life, well do you even know the woman?  Do you have any clue what she went through when she was growing up? 

How would you like to grow up where she had to hide her pregnancy for months from her own mother, because her mother took her to get an abortion, and she just couldn't do it so she had to hide the fact that she was still pregnant, at 16.  How would you like to go through a plate glass window to get your child back from your mother, because your mother was conspiring to have your child taken from you? How would you like to be on a plane to California with your child, and that be the first time you noticed going through that window to get your child sliced your leg?  How would you like to grow up as a strong, intelligent black woman in a world where you couldn't go to the same bathroom as everyone else.  You have no clue how it is to live that life, but you've benefited from a woman who has.

Your mother, has pioneered recycling in Seattle, and been on the forefront of environmental technologies and systems long before it was popular to do so.  Your mother, wrote the environmental protection laws for a country, who else can make that claim?  Your mother, has been on two different Presidents White House Small Business Councils.  Your mother, was and still is a political force in this state, and and in this country, and she did that all with the emotional baggage of her childhood, and doing her best to love each and every one of us.  Give the woman some credit. 

Please name for me the atrocity that she committed against you where it is necessary to run her name through the mud for the world to see?   Have you sat down and talked with her about how you feel?  Have you confronted her with what you have to say, or do you guys just get together and talk about the bitch that you think she is?  Is that what you do? 

Get my mother off of your mouths if you have nothing to say?  Talk about me, I don't care.  I'm here to defend myself.  Get my mother out your mouth. 

Is this just what you do?  When you were mad at me, you felt it was necessary to go around and "out" me to the world.  You weren't strong enough to say something to me about what you felt, or your anger, but you could go around to people that knew me in my childhood, and out me?  Who in the world gave you that right to do so?  Because you were angry?  Trust me, I know this one for a fact, your anger, justified or not, does not give you free license to do or say whatever you please.

I have tread on egg shells because I want you all back in my life.  But egg shells is not who I am.  How would you like it if I drug your names through the mud.  Is she not given an opportunity to be just as hurt and just as fucked off as all of us are?  If you're so free and know how to get free, then you go help her get free, and stop talkin about her on a forum where she has no opportunity to hear it or respond to it. 

It is clear that not only you miss her in your life, but you need her in your life.  Well this isn't grade school anymore.  You don't call people names or pick on them to show them your interested.  You call them up on the phone, you go over and talk with them, and you attempt to resolve your issues.  If it doesn't work, you let it go, and you let time pass, and let the universe work on both of you, and you keep trying for those you love.

If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say nothing at all.
